Centennial Playground
The grand-opening ceremony for the new City of Seminole and Rotary Club of Seminole Centennial Playground was held at 11:30am February 23, 2005.
The $174,500 playground, suitable for children ages 2 to 12, is at the Seminole Recreation Center, 9100 131st St. N. The project was funded by a state grant, a grant from both the Rotary Club of Seminole, Rotary District 6950, and the City of Seminole.
The facility is 100 percent handicapped accessible and features an artificial grass surface and equipment specially designed to be accessible for children in wheelchairs.

Seminole Pow Wow Parade
Rotary Club of Seminole members volunteer to supervise pedestrian traffic during the Seminole Pow Wow Parade community event.
Back-To-School
The Rotary Club of Seminole helps to prepare students in need, attending Orange Grove Elementary School and Seminole Elementary School, by funding the purchase of clothes and school supplies at the end of summer.
Kids Appreciation Day
The Rotary Club of Seminole donates money and the Members donate time for this fun day of congratulations for a job well done to students in our community celebrating the final day of the school year.
Kids at Christmas
The Rotary Club of Seminole treats needful youngsters to a shopping spree at an area store. Individual Club Members escort each child to assure good purchases are made. Each family also receives a shopping cart full of holiday foodstuffs including a turkey.
Toys for Tots
Each year, the Rotary Club of Seminole participates in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The mission Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. For more information, please visit the official Toys for Tots website.
